"The Van Gogh Cafe sits on Main Street in Flowers, Kansas, and the building it is in was once a theatre, which may be the reason for its magic. Anyone who has ever seen anything happen on a stage — anything — knows that a theatre is so full of magic that after years and years of opening nights there must be magic enough to last forever in its walls." ~ Cynthia Rylant

i wore my m.i.a. bracelet today. no one commented on it. not that i wore it to get the comment. i wore it so i would keep that man's family in focus. but... i don't know. maybe i wish more people would consider this than the barbecues and the beaches.
ReplyDeleteLove this! It's so important to remember what that day really means.

There were a million amazing reminders on Facebook for Memorial Day and I cherished each one of them. We celebrated by FINALLY hanging our flag out front (yes, 10 months before we move. Better late than never). I hope all is well with you and that we're both being quiet in the blogosphere because life has happened and it's moving faster than we can blog about it. ;)
